Mijas Pueblo

Mijas Pueblo, or Pueblo blanco, is a picturesque and traditional Andalusian mountain village known for its white houses 21 km from our finca. The charming village at 428 meters altitude is built on a rocky plateau against the mountains and offers spectacular views of the mountains, sea and surrounding villages.

Extra information

The village is a ydillic place that could have come straight off a romantic canvas painting.  With its narrow streets full of blue flower pots with geraniums on the walls, narrow alleys, stairs, and beautiful squares Mijas is an attraction in itself. There are many shops and souvenir shops where you can find everything, from handmade ceramics to leather goods, traditional Spanish jewellery and much more.

The many bars, terraces, restaurants and bodegas invite you to taste different types of tapas, food and wine.

On the outskirts of Mijas pueblo, a botanical garden has been created near La Muralla, the fortified wall. You can take a pleasant walk here and from this higher point you can also enjoy spectacular breathtaking views of the coast.  A unique viewpoint, in our opinion probably one of the most beautiful on the Costa del Sol.

A beautiful village to walk around, enjoying the views and the energy of the town, in the summer evenings often accompanied by live music or summer events. The centre of the village is as good as car-free. You can park in the large car park and walk straight into the village from there. Parking costs for 24 hours are only €1,-.
